How To Find Happiness In Yourself

Buried deep within every one of us is the source of our happiness.

despite the lies we have been indoctrinated with

time and time again the world keeps trying to make us believe that our happiness lies in something external.

like the kind of car we drive, the kind of house we live in, and the number of times we travel in a year.

the kind of friends we hang out with or the lifestyle we see on our friend’s posts on Instagram.

the list of these lies are endless and most times all of this make-believe happiness is the reason why many are unhappy.

if you could take the time out of your busy day and just think about your happiness for a minute.

if you would want to fetch from this river of happiness within you.

think for just a minute about how you could love yourself more,

enjoy your journey here in life, and at the end know that you have lived a fulfilling life.

if you could just make the time to finish this article

maybe you can find the source of your happiness that is within you.

 

Not Everyone’s Happiness Is Yours And Not All Of Your Happiness Is Someone Else’s. 

We are not the main character of everyone else’s story but our own.

the journey to finding happiness within yourself can be daunting yet rewarding.

to find happiness within yourself, you must first find yourself.

and where you find yourself therein lies your happiness

and to embark on this journey of self-discovery

one must journey within one’s self and unluck the emotions behind certain experiences and events.

a journey towards understanding what truly matters in your life.

at the center of all your pains and struggles in life, is you, and your happiness.

how come our life is filled with unhappiness you might ask?

so many things can cause one to be unhappy,

and I will give a few examples first being, a life without hopes or faith.

second a life without meaning or significance, and lastly, a life still trapped in the past.

how can one be happy with a life he/she is not happy about?

how can one be happy with a life that has no direction?

and like I always say, a life without direction is a life heading toward depression, sadness, and ultimately destruction.

to find happiness in yourself, you must know.

what is the cause of your unhappiness? Are your addictions? the season you are in your life?

the burdens you carry? making you unhappy?

so much can make one unhappy and it is easy for us to get confused.

because we tend to tie our happiness to things and not experience and values

“True happiness is not placed in things but in values and experiences in life.”

a root cause of most people’s unhappiness is they have lost their values,

or the people in their lives no longer respect their values.

some have their lives become a wasteland, a junkyard for mediocrity and tragedy,

a desert rather than a garden.

to find happiness in yourself you must know yourself, and to know yourself you must know your worth. and your worth is your value.

people value what has value, and as long as we compromise our values or have people defile them, we can never fully be happy.

for our values are one thing that defines us as individuals, and if we don’t respect our values,

our life is going to be someone else junkyard.

 

Know And Do What Makes You Happy. 

everyone has their own unique set of values, interests, and priorities that contribute to their happiness.

take some time to reflect on what brings you joy and fulfillment in your life.

what activities do you enjoy doing? What people do you enjoy spending time with?

what do you feel proud of in your life?

make a list of these things and try to incorporate them into your daily routine as much as possible.

even if you are busy, try to find at least a few minutes each day to do something that makes you happy.

this can be as simple as taking a few deep breaths or spending a few minutes in nature.

I need you to understand. What gives your life meaning, gives your life purpose and what gives your life purpose, gives your life happiness.

they are happiness hidden in moments we have lived we have just not enjoyed the experience yet.

we have failed to enjoy the smallest things in life and there are what leads us to the big ones.

No one can give you happiness anymore you can give to yourself.

know this could be the start of your journey towards your happiness, or maybe the start of your happiness journey towards you.

either way, you must be open to knowing what makes you happy.

you could start spending more time with families and friends, journaling, practicing daily gratitude, or finding new hobbies.

 

Reflection And Resolving Old Conflicts.

One of the things that has helped me find happiness within myself Is self-reflection.

Making time each week to reflect on my life experiences brought me to face old conflicts not necessarily without other people but within myself. These were conflicts I had been running from for years emotions like guilt, unforgiveness, and hate, and as I faced these emotions without realizing it became the start of my journey towards happiness, forgiveness, and wholeness.

 

Find Happiness In Your Gift.

We each carry a gift and this gift is our way of being a blessing to the world.

we cannot bless the world without first being a blessing to ourselves and our lives.

we can see these gifts as God’s or The Universe’s expression through us.

Sometimes we get blinded and misjudge ourselves in the early stage of our life using our gifts and sometimes this causes us to struggle with these gifts.

Find out what your gifts are and find a way for them to be a blessing to your life and the world.

only then can you access another depth of happiness within you.

 

Final Thoughts 

true happiness lies in who you become not what you get because what you get can be taken away from you or lost.

no matter what is going on, the challenges you are currently facing, or the circumstances surrounding you.

you can still find happiness within you, start with finding your values for therein lies your journey towards happiness. And remember who you become affects your journey in life.

And of course, other things contribute to our overall happiness that I didn’t even talk about.

things like getting enough sleep, having

a healthy diet, exercising regularly, practicing self-compassion, practicing mindfulness the list goes on and on.

perhaps in a later article, we could talk about these things and how they contribute to your happiness.
